Where it comes from
Hellenistic Egypt and Greece drew the sky at the moment of birth (tropical: Aries from the March equinox). Twentieth-century newspapers squeezed it into twelve columns — that is only the Sun. A full natal still has the Moon, rising, and houses. People kept the chart because two people born the same calendar day can be nothing alike, and a column cannot hold a person.
What people use it for
Two Cancers on paper. One rests at midnight; the other is met as someone else entirely. Rising needs a clock and a city. A two-hour slot is not an Ascendant — we will not invent one.
Use the birth you already entered.
Add the minute and the city if rising is still locked. The natal is the same person as the Zi Wei chart — a different instrument.
Questions
Isn’t my sign just my Sun?
That is what a daily column uses. A natal still has a Moon, a rising (if we have the minute), ten planets, twelve houses, and the aspects between them. The Sun is the headline, not the page.
Why won’t you show rising from a 時辰?
A two-hour window moves the Ascendant tens of degrees. We will not pick a rising and pretend it is certain. Add HH:MM and a city, or read the Sun (and a cautious Moon) without houses.
Is this a daily horoscope?
