What people mean by “your sign”
Almost every newspaper horoscope is the Sun’s sign: which 30° of the tropical zodiac the Sun occupied on your birthday. That is one twelfth of a natal. Two people born the same calendar day can share a Sun and still have different Moons, a different rising, different houses, different plots.
The twelve signs below are the vocabulary. They are not twelve personality types you pick from a list. They are the twelve ways a planet, a house cusp, or an angle can behave.
The twelve signs
Tropical order, Aries to Pisces. Each sign has an element (fire, earth, air, water), a modality (cardinal starts, fixed holds, mutable adapts), and a traditional ruler. The gloss is how that sign moves — not a fortune for the week.

Sun, Moon, rising
Those three are the headline of a natal, not the natal. The Sun is the direction you will sign your name to. The Moon is the weather inside: rest, hurt, what feels like enough. Rising is how you walk into a room before anyone knows the story.
iYarrow shows them first because they are the fastest way to recognise a chart. The rest of the wheel is still the chart.
Why the minute and the city
The Sun usually stays in one sign all day. The Moon can change signs inside a two-hour 時辰. Rising and the twelve houses move about one degree every four minutes. Without HH:MM and a city we will not invent an Ascendant. A 時辰 is not rising.
Date alone is enough for a Sun. Clock and place unlock the wheel.
The rest of the instrument
A natal is planets in signs in houses, tied by aspects. The words below are the same ones the chart page uses.
Ten planets
Sun through Pluto. Each is a function (how you think, attract, act, grow, limit) wearing a sign as manner and a house as stage.
Twelve houses
Where in a life the function lands — self, money, speech, home, making, daily work, the other person, shared things, belief, public name, allies, the backstage.
Five major aspects
Conjunction, opposition, square, trine, sextile. The plot: which two functions share a sentence, fight, or run easily.
- Sun — The Sun is core direction: what this life is for, what you would sign.
- Moon — The Moon is emotional weather: how you rest, bruise, and feel safe.
- Mercury — Mercury is how the mind walks: thinking, naming, talking it through.
- Venus — Venus is what draws you, how you offer warmth, what you call beautiful.
- Mars — Mars is how you act, anger, and which fight is worth having.
- Jupiter — Jupiter is growth and belief: where you enlarge, what counts as luck.
- Saturn — Saturn is the deadline and the spine: what you keep, fear, and stand on.
- Uranus — Uranus rewrites a rule that no longer fits.
- Neptune — Neptune is fog and ideal: what you believe, and where you get lost.
- Pluto — Pluto is deep control and rebirth: the layer you will not release.
- House 1 · SelfThe 1st is self: how you enter a room before anyone knows the story.
- House 2 · MoneyThe 2nd is money and enough: what you keep, charge for, and call sufficient.

How iYarrow reads a natal
The wheel is computed by caelus: tropical zodiac, Placidus houses, Swiss-ephemeris positions. The prose is keyed corpus plus one model pass — the same split as Zi Wei and tarot. Follow-up chat does not recast the natal.

Questions
Isn’t my sign just my Sun?
That is what a daily column uses. A natal still has a Moon, a rising (if we have the minute), ten planets, twelve houses, and the aspects between them. The Sun is the headline, not the page.
Why won’t you show rising from a 時辰?
A two-hour window moves the Ascendant tens of degrees. We will not pick a rising and pretend it is certain. Add HH:MM and a city, or read the Sun (and a cautious Moon) without houses.
Is this a daily horoscope?
No. This is not a daily. iYarrow does not sell a Sun-sign week. The natal is one birth, read as a chart.
Does this replace Zi Wei?
No. Same birth record, different instrument. 紫微 is the Chinese life chart. This is the Western natal. Neither writes the other, and neither enters an I Ching or tarot cast.
Do I pay extra?
Not on this page. Opening the natal is part of the same account. A written reading still spends the credit pool you already use for Zi Wei.
